Installing a door in a block wall

Wood Plans Woodworking Carpentry Download
I have started a large remodel job in Sylvania, Ohio.  The plan is to close off a garage, open a wall that is common with the garage, and make a large family room.  The first part of the job is to install a new french door in an existing block wall.  This will give access to the back yard.  There is a concrete stairwell already in place.
Here are the "before" pics...

Ive removed the existing window.  There is a lintle already in place, so I dont have to worry about a header. I will make vertical cuts with a circular saw on both sides of the block to get as clean of a break as possible for the new opening.  Demolition is always fun...

Of course, having a helper with a shovel is always fun too!  :)

Now Ive added framing, and installed the door!  Ive boarded in the small opening to the left of the door, because the back of the house will eventually get new siding, and the siding crew can cover right over this and trim out the door.

The rest of my work will be inside, making a new bathroom, installing a support beam, blocking in the garage overhead door, furring out and insulating the existing block exterior walls, and finishing off the project.  Ill post more pictures as I go through the project...
